J'Sky climate ceilings can be used for cooling as well as heating. Radiation achieves the desired temperature in heating as well as cooling. The (natural) ventilation in the room provides an extra boost to the cooling or heating, thereby eliminating the need for forced cold or hot air flows. In other words: no draughts, and therefore a high degree of comfort.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
How does heating and/or cooling take place?
-
What are the available perforation patterns?
J'Sky panels generally provide a microperforation of 0.7mm with 4% penetration. This perforation is almost invisible but always offers a good absorption value. Other perforation patterns can be provided after consultations.
-
How many panels are needed per room?
The energy required per room is calculated on the basis of the heat/cooling load study and available (or planned) technical installation. This calculation is normally done by a consultancy firm. The desired energy per room is translated into the necessary number of panels, without losing sight of the aesthetic aspect. J'Sky will provide the energy as well as the hydraulic calculations.
-
Do J'Sky systems contribute to WELL/BREEAM?
J'Sky climate ceilings contribute to the assessment under the BREEAM (sustainability assessment method) and WELL (building health and welfare standard). J'Sky climate ceilings contribute to BREEAM targets through low energy consumption. In addition to ensuring sustainability, the design in the case of WELL places people at centre stage. One of the pillars is the experience of comfort by efficiently controlling temperature, air control and adequate lighting. All these aspects are bundled together in J'Sky.
-
Can J'Sky also undertake technical installation?
Yes, J'Sky has the necessary in-house knowledge to also carry out the entire technical installation and can therefore completely relieve you of your worries.
-
Why is there a difference between the energy ratings per m² for closed ceiling and island installations?
Energy is transferred via radiation as well as by convection. In an island installation, there is a higher convection component than in case of a closed ceiling, thereby resulting in a higher energy per m².

Which colours can be supplied?
The standard product colours are RAL9010 or RAL9016. Other RAL colours can be supplied on request. Printed panels can also be provided.
